Terms of use

Receipt Desk is a receipt organizer and expense-preparation tool operated by The Boss Factory. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the privacy notice. Questions: info@thebossfactory.ca.

Your business records

You own your uploaded records. Only upload documents you are authorized to store and process. Keep your account secure and review extracted details, business-use decisions, exports, and recipients. You can export your records from the app.

Accounting decisions

AI interpretation can be wrong. Deterministic validation can identify discrepancies but cannot determine the legal treatment of a purchase. Recorded spending is not a claim of deductibility, tax recoverability, or depreciation. Consult your accountant for accounting and tax decisions, and retain copies required for your business.

Free private testing

Private testing is invitation-only and free. No payment card is required. Server-controlled page, scan, and usage limits apply. Testing access may change, but testers are not automatically enrolled in a paid subscription. Free testing is not a promise that the public product will be permanently free.

Public subscription availability

Public subscription pricing awaits approval. No live subscription purchases are enabled. Before any paid launch, the app will show the approved price, billing period, renewal conditions, scan allowance, restore-purchases option, and store subscription-management link. Mobile subscriptions will use the applicable platform's supported billing flow.

Cancellation and retention

Cancellation or expiry does not automatically delete your receipts. Access to existing records and exports continues under this policy; additional scanning may require an active allowance. Active records are retained until confirmed deletion. You can request deletion in the app or on the account-deletion page. Backup handling is described in the privacy notice. Deleting an account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel separately in the store if applicable.

Acceptable use and availability

Do not bypass business access controls, upload malware, attempt to access another business's records, or exceed usage controls. Processing may be delayed or unavailable because of connectivity or provider failure. Originals remain stored when processing fails, and you can retry within the limits or correct a record manually. Maintain an independent exported copy of important business records.

Sharing reports

You control the native email or share flow and are responsible for the recipient and attachments. Opening a composer does not prove delivery. Large packages may exceed your email provider's limit; use the app's authorized expiring download option where available.

Changes and support

Changes to paid terms will be disclosed before they apply. Contact info@thebossfactory.ca for support or account questions. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
